The ‘urban prankster’ community
March 25, 2010
After doing some digging, I have found that IE Melbourne will not be holding any major events in the coming weeks/months that I can film. This will be an issue because the missions are the subject of my documentary, and without them, my documentary will not work. Therefore, I have decided to broaden my scope and call it the ‘urban prankster’ community. I have found out that although IE Melbourne will not be hosting any events, there are also other sub-communities that come under the branch of ‘urban pranking’. Groups like Urban Playground and Zombie Shuffle have some major events planned that I am extremely keen to film and are perfect candidates for this documentary.
I will feature ‘urban pranksters’ as one holistic community, of which sub-communities like IE Melbourne, Urban Playground and Zombie Shuffle are a part of. The structure is the same: the community is still essentially a virtual one which has ‘real’ life presence. Only this time round, the scope is bigger. This will not change direction of my documentary at all, only the subject.
Events that I plan to film in coming weeks include:
- Melbourne Pillow Fight Day 2010, 10th April 2010
- (non) Protest March, 17th April 2010
- Zombie Shuffle 2010, 1st May 2010
Seeing as how the first event is coming out very soon, I will have to work on interview questions and start thinking about the aesthetics of the clips I will be producing.
